The astrology forecast for the week of October 18, 2021 – October 24, 2021 features a Full Moon in Aries, two major aspects (Mars trine Jupiter and Mars square Pluto), Mercury and Jupiter turning direct, and the beginning of Scorpio season. Cosmic energies will continue to improve with a large blip on Friday, but it should be a decent week.

Cosmic Overview:

First, Mercury turns direct on October 18, and minor annoyances and communication snafus may occur as Mercury stations and changes directions. As we move through the week, Mercury retrograde issues, particularly with relationships, will slowly improve. This is an excellent week to repair any damage to relationships or friendships that happened while the retrograde was active. Also, anything that you have put on hold during the retrograde can now be initiated and completed.

The Full Moon in Aries is a two-week cycle of letting go of personal attributes that we may not like about ourselves or are no longer effective. Are there any individual behaviors that you would like to let go of? Oh, and news flash – we all have them! Since Mars is in Libra, you can also look at how you behave in relationships and let go of unhealthy personal patterns that may limit the relationship’s growth. This work is not uncomplicated, but the fruits of your internal work will pay off in the end.

Otherwise, Mars trine Jupiter is optimistic, energetic, and enthusiastic, so go after your desires with no regrets.

Since the Moon moving through Taurus invites you to indulge in the pleasures of life, do something you deeply enjoy.

Remember that large blip I talked about at the beginning of the forecast? Well, it happens today as Mars tangles with Pluto. Mars square Pluto is a discordant aspect that often provokes disagreements between people, especially if problems or animosities have been lurking in the background for a while. You may experience fierce opposition from others. Avoid underhanded activities even if you feel they are justified because they will only lead to blowback. Stay away from dangerous people and places!

The astrology forecast for the week of October 11, 2021 – October 17, 2021 features 4 major planetary aspects – Venus sextile Saturn, Sun trine Jupiter, Mercury sextile Venus, and Sun square Pluto. The bulk of the week will be pretty easy, but beware of the internal storm clouds that move in over the weekend that may threaten to rain on your parade.

Cosmic Overview:

So, how many of you were shocked by the Facebook shut down that occurred last week? For most Astrologers, this was no surprise. Communication and tech problems occur frequently during Mercury retrograde, and snafus occurred across many social media platforms and websites on the same day. But what shocked me the most was the number of conspiracy theories (Mercury was in orb of a conjunction with conspiracy loving Pluto when he turned retrograde) that spawned post after post on social media, including some from well-meaning astrologers.

This week Mercury spends its last week retrograde. Now, the two most difficult phases during a retrograde are when the planet slows down to begin its retrograde status, and then when he slows down again to turn direct. You can expect Mercury retrograde problems to intensity throughout the week, especially in relationships because Mercury is in Libra.

The Moon spends the morning hours void of course in Sagittarius. Avoid starting anything new or making firm decisions (that you should avoid anyways because of Mercury retrograde) until the afternoon hours when the Moon moves into Capricorn. While the Moon is in Capricorn, you can expect the energy to be more serious and focused. It’s an excellent time to put your nose to the grindstone and get things accomplished.

Tuesday, October 12, 2021:

The Moon continues its trip through the sign of the goat and forms some heavy aspects to Mercury, the Sun, and Mars. You can expect mild communication issues and possible disagreements with others. Try to remain as proactive as possible.

Wednesday, October 13, 2021:

The first major aspect of the week occurs on Wednesday when Venus sextiles Saturn in Aquarius. This is a terrific day to work on any relationship issues that may have occurred while Mercury’s been retrograde. Saturn provides a stabilizing influence, and you can look at things realistically. Venus sextile Saturn is excellent for serious discussions and compromises. Also, if you have business matters to deal with this energy is perfect, especially if financial issues are involved.

Thursday, October 14, 2021:

The Moon spends its first full day in Aquarius. You will feel like socializing with others, so it’s an excellent day to hang out with friends or do lunch with your network. However, expect the unexpected this evening when the Moon squares Uranus.

Friday, October 15, 2021:

Good News! The Sun forms a lovely trine to Jupiter in Aquarius. You will find the tone of the day optimistic, enthusiastic, and you will enjoy the company of others. It’s a fantastic day to work on your big picture objectives. Since Jupiter enjoys new experiences, you should take some time to do something different and enjoy yourself. Side Note: This is one of the most positive days of the year, so take advantage of the energy while it’s available.

Saturday, October 16, 2021:

Mercury forms a lovely aspect to Venus in Sagittarius. You can express your feelings easily, and this may help in your relationships with others. It’s also a fine day to reflect on your life and share your insights with others. Spending time with friends is important, while Mercury and Venus are in aspect. Reach out to those you care about and let them know that you care.

Sunday, October 17, 2021:

It’s going to be an eye-opening day, as the Sun in Libra forms a tense square to Pluto. You may realize that you need to make changes in your life, especially to areas that are floundering. It may be time to let go of old patterns and habits that are preventing your growth. You will find your life more rewarding once you purge the old and embrace the new.

Although ordinarily, a New Moon in Libra would be an excellent time to attract a new relationship, Mercury is ‘retched out,’ and Venus (the ruler of Libra) is in her detriment in Scorpio. So instead, use this New Moon to create new paradigms within your current relationships, which are not limited to romantic ones.

If you are currently single, you can make a list of all the attributes you would like out of a mate and do cleansing magic to signify your desire for a fresh start. If you are in a relationship, you can use the New Moon to reset (such a lovely Mercury RX word) the energies and create a more fulfilling dynamic that will help improve the relationship’s overall health. In other relationships, you can modify how you work with the New Moon based on the needs of that relationship. The key is formulating new and productive ways to make them healthier.

Avoid starting anything new. New projects tend to have communication problems and mishaps when initiated during this process.
Put a watch on your tongue. (If it is not worth saying, don’t say it)
Check your vehicles for any potential problems. Before Mercury goes retrograde is the best time for a service call.
Avoid buying real estate or renting apartments. Usually, this means you are just going to move again during a future Mercury Rx.
Using mail delivery services that offer tracking and insurance – especially now since the Post Office has still not recovered from the pandemic.
Check, recheck, and check again any travel plans you have or appointments that are on the books.
If you do travel, don’t take anything of importance or value. Only bring items that you do not care if they are lost or stolen.
Expect people from the past to resurface. However, once they do crawl out of whatever cavern they came from, proceed with caution.
Back up all electronic devices.
Avoid buying an automobile.

The astrology forecast for September 13, 2021 – September 19, 2021 features three aspects (Sun oppose Neptune, Sun trine Pluto, and Venus square Saturn), and Mars leaves Virgo and enters Libra.

Overview

This week, Venus continues to move through Scorpio. Any planet moving through the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) will reactivate the Saturn square Uranus in the cosmos, which is still within orb. This reactivation is called translation of light.

Let’s break this down.

Venus in Scorpio reflects a desire for emotional depth and closeness in relationships. In the sign of the scorpion, she likes to get things out in the open and prefers honesty over civility. Since Venus is in detriment, Scorpio is not her natural habitat. She is unhappy there, but she would rather know the truth regardless of how displeasing it is to her.

Venus will square Saturn first. Saturn is our limitations, boundaries, and responsibilities. Venus square Saturn is a frustrating combo that can cause self-doubt and insecurities. It can lead to feelings of isolation and loneliness, and people often make ‘easy’ decisions that please others rather than satisfy themselves.

Venus will oppose Uranus next week, which has its own challenges. Uranus likes independence and freedom, and often shakes things up if he feels constricted and confined. Venus oppose Uranus is tense and wants to break free, which can lead to upsetting events in relationships – if they are not managed effectively.

I’m going to be blunt – it’s my trademark. Venus mixed up with Saturn square Uranus can feel like a roller-coaster ride at the state fair. It has many ups and downs. However, working with this energy ‘proactively’ means you have to manage your need for closeness with your need for independence. You may need to have difficult conversations with people, stand your ground, and be flexible enough to consider the needs of others. The more inflexible you are, the more difficult this may be.

Further, some relationships may end up irreparable. If that’s the case, the relationship did not have the ingredients necessary to stay the course. And, although endings are complex and sometimes emotionally tumultuous, they may be necessary for the growth of your soul.
