Yes, it’s Mercury retrograde time again.

(waits for the moans and groans to subside)

… and yes, we can expect all the problems that normally occur during a Mercury retrograde – electronic device issues, travel plans have gone awry, communications with others go crazy, and more socks than ever seem to slip into the vortex of the dryers 4th dimension.

(waits for the moans and groans to subside)

But this year, I have the best Mercury retrograde option for you and it couldn’t come any sooner – Coventry Creations Crossroads Candle.

Now, before I get into how to work with the candle, let’s get into the Mercury Retrograde chart, and figure out how we can get the most out of it.

Mercury is the planet that helps us understand life.   It’s kind of our little computer/phone app that lets us see what is going on in the world, and integrate all the bits of information into something that is useable for us as we navigate through our day to day lives.

In Greek Myth, Hermes (his Greek name) was a peculiar God.  Let me give you the areas of life he was the god of:  commerce, messages, the link between mortals and the gods, travel, and he was the protector of travelers, thieves, and athletes.

Mercury was the only god that did not have temples and shrines that were erected in his honor – and with the people he trafficked with, you can see why.  Instead, he had ‘herms’ that were erected at crossroads in his honor.  This would be where travelers that were lost or people that needed Mercury’s assistance would rest to get guidance from the god.

So, you can see why this years ‘Crossroads’ limited edition (meaning Jacki doesn’t make them often) is perfect because it gives us something tangible to work with during this retrograde cycle.

On with the chart… (yes, there is always a chart for everything)

Mercury goes retrograde in the sign of Virgo on August 12 at 9:00 PM EST.   Virgo is an earth sign and is associated with order, discipline, structure, foundation, and natural law.

To look at the trends of the Mercury retrograde chart, we set the chart for Washington, DC for the United States.  These trends will be more potent for anyone that has planets between 7-15 degrees of a sign, with a stronger emphasis in the signs of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces.

Let’s begin with the 4th house.  This house is enormous power because it reflects the current emotional weather of the collective at the time Mercury goes retrograde.  There are no planets in the 4th house of the chart, but the sign of Gemini is on the cusp.  This reflects a lot of conflicting emotions.   We may be torn about the current state of our relationships or need to decide whether our jobs or careers are giving us what we need.  Additionally, Gemini is ruled by Mercury retrograde and sits in the 6th house on the cusp of the 7th.  So, we have a clue that our day to day life, our habits, and our relationships (personal and business) are going to be high target areas of concern during this retrograde.

Our next area of concern is going to be the Ascendant of the chart, which has Pisces on the cusp and Neptune, Chiron, and the Moon in the 1st house.   Neptune in the 1st reflects that we may need to think things out and possibly be very patient because all the information is not available.   Many of the decisions and choices we need to make right now might also involve past problems or decisions that have come back for us to reflect on and possibly make future adjustments.  Chiron in the first implies that we may view things now through the lens of spoiled luck or unfortunate situations that have occurred that have not really been our personal fault or the faults of those in our day to day life.  Chiron’s influence is amplified in this chart, and it might be necessary to work through any anger or rage that you may have towards the collective.  Additionally, the Moon in energetic Aries in the first implies that we need to take control of our own thoughts and ideas, and our pathway to security (Moon) is doing things on our own and forging our own path.  We need to embrace change.

The traditional ruler of Pisces is Jupiter.  Jupiter lands in the 7th house of the chart.   The 7th house has to do with our relationships with others.   This reflects that we can learn more about our path by being open and receptive to the ideas and opinions of others.   This does not mean that we should do it their way, but it does give us an area that we can look for answers.

Now, let’s analyze Mercury itself:

Mercury lands in the 6th house of the chart straddling the 7th house cusp.  As I stated earlier, will influence our everyday lives and our relationships.  So, the areas most affected will be our jobs, our hobbies, rituals, and possibly put a strain on relationships.  This retrograde could even activate our adversaries.

Mercury always indicates a period of reflection when he is retrograde, and we can use its energy to analyze the areas he will influence and gauge whether they are giving us what we need.

Here are some meditation and reflection points:

Am I happy with my job situation?
Am I getting enough exercise?
How am I feeling physically and emotionally?
Have I had a health check up recently?
Have my pets visited the vet recently?  How are they doing?
Am I getting enough rest?
Is there anything that I am doing habitually that may be causing a problem?
Are there any new hobbies I wish to pursue?
Am I happy with my current hobbies?
Am I happy with my relationships?
Are there people I need to make amends with?
How are my business partnerships going and do I need to make other strategic alliances?
Do I need to end some business relationships?

Mercury forms several aspects that I mentioned earlier in conjunction with the 4th house.  The most significant is Mercury opposed Neptune.  You can expect to feel confusing during the retrograde.  Areas of your life may seem muddled and you may need to put off ANY decision making completely until the retrograde is over – especially if this is making you anxious.  This could be amplified by Mercury sesquiquadrate Uranus.   Mercury and Uranus bring forth feelings of anxiety on their own and likes to make plans and have a scheme on how to resolve things, especially when this is combined with Neptune’s influence.  Uranus is the ruler of the 12th house past and could indicate that we need to analyze the decisions and choices we’ve made that may have led to our current confusion.  This could be difficult and force you to dig deep, yet the rewards of reviewing the past will be many.

The second difficult aspect is Mercury square Saturn.  This is an extremely frustrating aspect because we often feel thwarted, limited, face any obstacles, and this could lead to depression.  This is not the greatest time to engage in social activities because social gatherings could make us feel even more alienated – especially since Saturn is the ruler of the 11th house group.  The key to working with this aspect is realizing that sometimes you should do things slowly and with purpose and that only through going through the frustrations and limitations, you get to the other side.  Mercury square Saturn, when worked with consciously, can bring forth solid and endurable results.

Mercury does make one positive aspect:  a trine to Pluto.  Mercury-Pluto aspects let you dig deeper.   Mercury trine Pluto lets you get to the bottom of situations and see the underlying issues and problems.  Pluto is the ruler of the 9th house big picture and Mercury trine Pluto will allow us to see the larger scheme of things and put them in their proper perspective eliminating circumstances that may no longer be good for us.

Now, we all know that Mercury retrograde is difficult, and I have written extensively on its purpose.  It’s very easy for us to get caught up in the physical manifestation of this cosmic event.  However, Coventry Creations has released a limited-edition Crossroads Candle – and it has arrived at the right time.

The Crossroads candle is an elegantly designed candle that comes adorned with a key.   Now for those of you that are Lenormand fans, then you know that the key card signifies opening doors, and usually indicates a yes answer when he appears in a spread.

The text on the candle says:

“What wonders await when you unlock the door to your true self?  Magic is not from an external source, but from deep within.  We designed this candle to help you find your inner wisdom.   Lighting this candle and visualizing your goal is a commitment to your success.”

This candle is perfect for working with Mercury retrograde.   It helps us receive inner answers that we can then implement once Mercury goes direct on September 5th.

Here are ways you can use the candles:

Career – Are you at a point in your career where you are not getting what you need?  Do you not feel creative enough or that your career is feeding your spirit?  The crossroads candle can be used to help you receive clarity on what direction that you need to take, and what path is more aligned with your spirit.

Finances – Are finances a problem?  The crossroads candle can be used to help you get clarity on your financial situation.   Do you need a stricter budget or do you need to find a new job to make more money?  Do you need to pay off your debt?   Are you spending more than you need to spend?  This candle will bring you clarity on your financial needs.

Relationships – Relationships are important to everyone.  However, there are times when we need to take a deep look at how our relationships are feeding us, and whether or not they are fulfilling us on an emotional level.  Additionally, this applies to business relationships.  You can use the crossroads candle to help show your relationship path and guide you in the choices that you need to make.

Here is an amazing video that Jacki Smith has done to show how to perform a crossroads ritual.

solareclipseI received a call a few weeks ago, and I heard a breathless voice on the other side of the phone ask me, “Is there an eclipse coming?”

I quickly told her that there was and that I felt the eclipse was extremely important because it conjoins the Midheaven of a Presidential candidate – Hillary Clinton.

She then breathlessly asked me another question, “What sign is it in?”

I told her that it occurs in Virgo.

“Oh, how boring!” she exclaimed with a rather derisive tone.

I went on to tell her a little about the eclipse, but her dismissiveness of the sign of Virgo kept gnawing at me.  Why did she just dismiss it to the land of irrelevancy and even when I explained to her what the eclipse meant, you could hear the boredom in her responses?   She became distant and uninterested.

I can’t express the importance of this eclipse enough – it activates the very powerful Saturn-Neptune square, and it occurs while the ruler of Virgo – Mercury – is retrograde.

Heed the warning, you should pay close attention to this eclipse and the events that happen in your life throughout the month of September.

So, let’s just get into it!

The Myth of Aristaeus

As most of you know, I love mythology, and there are several characters that are relevant to the sign of Virgo, but I think the most fitting for this eclipse is Aristaeus – the son of the Sun god, Apollo.

Aristaeus is an interesting mythic figure.  He does not fight any dragons and doesn’t draw his sword in battle.  He is not a traditional hero, and his values towards life are focused more on the earth and her resources.  He was given over to the Earth Mother at a very young age and through her and her allies care he learned the arts of making cheese, tending to flocks, building beehives, and mastering the art of hunting.   He reflects the side of us that needs to learn basic elements of survival to live productive lives.

In one of his most interesting stories, Aristaeus consulted the oracle at Delphi, which ironically was owned by his father.   The oracle told him that he would receive acclaim and respect on the Island of Keos.   So, like any good intentioned individual that consults with oracles (psychics), he embarked on his journey only to find that a plague had fallen upon the islanders.  Aristaeus, gifted in the arts of healing and prophecy, divined that the plague happened because ‘secret murderers’ had taken refuge on the island.  Quickly, Aristaeus put the murderers to death, and the plague dissipated.

Aristaeus’ myth is a powerful story.  His story is allegorical and can be used instructively in our day to day lives, which is the case with pretty much any myth.

Let’s get into the meat of how it applies to our lives and the current eclipse.

Throughout our lives, we learn many things to cope and survive in a world that is often less than helpful.  We become accustomed to many traditions and habits so that our lives will be effective.   For example, everyone ten years old knows that one day he or she is going to grow up and get a job and go to work like mommy and daddy, and that is the purpose of getting up and going to school every morning.  He or she learns that they have to brush their teeth, eat properly, exercise, and get good grades.

We then grow older and then learn new things like balancing our checkbooks, learning how to pay our bills, becoming creditworthy, making effective purchases, and how to save.  Additionally, we learn about the importance of yearly physicals, protecting ourselves against diseases, and even mundane tasks such as cooking and cleaning.

Yes, it can be boring, but all of the things we learn in childhood and early adulthood are to allow us to be effective in the world and provide us with the ability to cope with any crisis that might occur.  The sign of Virgo governs all of this, and in many ways, this is the process Aristaeus goes through at the beginning of his myth.

Like Aristaeus, we all then begin our journey and in the course of our journey calamity can happen.  In other words, plagues are allegorical for the ‘difficult’ events that occur in our lives.  We have relationship plagues, financial plagues, career plagues, health plagues, in-law plagues, and at times, we have the ‘life sucks’ plague.

However, the myth is instructive of what we need to do because Aristaeus has to search for the cause and he discovers the origin of the plagues – in this case, the murderers on the island.  He then goes off and gets rid of them.  The myth is telling us very clearly that often the root of our problems is how we are living our lives.   Of course, this is sometimes hard to swallow and with Saturn being square to Neptune (and in direct aspect to the eclipse), it is very easy for us to fall into victim mode and attempt to blame everyone and everything around us for our maladies, but in most cases, our problems are self-inflicted.  We have made choices in our lives that have become little murderers hiding out on the island.   These can be the over spending murderers, the bad fitness murderers, the lazy murderers; the ‘YOLO’ murderers, and the list goes on and on.  The myth goes on to explain that we need to get rid of these ‘murderers’ so that the plagues go away.

Who Are Your Murderers?

The good news about this Eclipse is that it happens while Mercury is retrograde.  Mercury gives us the ability to reflect and deeply analyze our lives and root out any of our personal plagues.  So, the eclipse instructs us to get to work and find the areas of our lives where we might be experiencing self-sabotage.

Action Step:

Get out your pen and paper and write down the areas of your life where you are experiencing problems.  Try to get to the root of your problems.  If your current plague is financial difficulties, it is best to figure out where these financial problems began to occur and the emotional roots that could have caused them.

Now that you have got your list, it’s time to use the power of VIRGO to fix them.  Create your budgets; your exercise plans, your grocery choices, your debt management solutions, and every other day to day habit.  Then you can get to work on creating effective strategies to get rid of the murderers.

Self-reflection is not easy.   It can often bring up very painful feelings and experiences we would rather regret, yet if something is preventing you from living a healthy, productive, and fulfilling life, then it’s time to fix it.   After all, you deserve to live the best life you can create.

Big Picture Stuff (for those that are interested)

I will admit that I decided to wait to write this part of the article as close to the eclipse as I could get, without sacrificing time to edit.  (Btw, for all those writers out there, I recently purchased Grammarly, and I love it – I know, how Virgoan)  This eclipse triggers the current Saturn-Neptune square in the heavens, and it is easy to see the themes that are currently activated.

I am going to try to avoid any personal secretions of my political flavoring, which on its own is pretty difficult.  However, the major theme that seems to be emerging is government corruption – and this whether you lean to the left or the right.  I have found that Saturn wants structure and foundation and for things to be fair and right (he is moving through optimistic Sagittarius) and Neptune wants overarching solutions to problems that lean towards group needs rather than individual ones.  Group solutions can be very problematic because they tend to limit individual expression, yet in many cases, are often necessary.  The difficulty is that many of the visions that are permeating out of the collective are rather utopian in nature, and when Neptune is driving the bus, and we land somewhere we would rather not be, we often feel cheated, lied to, and disenchanted with the establishment.  The great irony is that it is often our establishment discord that got us a ticket on the Neptune Express!

There is nothing wrong with a dream of a better tomorrow.  It’s part of living and part of the reason that we continue trying to improve things.  However, it is also necessary that we take responsibility for our personal part in creating the current system.  In many ways, it has been our lack of participation or simple disinterest, yet the reality is that each of us has added to the stew of its creation.  It’s also necessary that we accept the cold, harsh reality that however good intentioned that Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump (or any other elected world leader) may be or may not be, they are not going to be able to fix our problems.   Hopefully, they can make choices that will allow our personal problem fixing to be a bit easier, but they cannot fix them for us and the more we are seeking a ‘savior’ to resolve individual issues, the more  we are going to end up feeling disappointed.

The key here is to stick to the personal.

Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung explained it best, and I will attempt to paraphrase him.   He said that if there is something wrong in the world, then there is something wrong with society, and if there is something wrong with society, then there is something wrong with families, and if there is something wrong with families, then there is something with me.  Translation – the more that we work on our inner issues and our inner development and remove our plagues and destroy what is murdering our lives, the more the outer world will change on its own.

“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”   — George Bernard Shaw

Storm Cestavani Life CoachFor those of you that get weak in the knees when Mercury is retrograde, you can breathe a sigh of relief.

It’s almost over.

The trickster planet will turn direct on Monday and communication will slowly return to normal.  I guess, we will have to find something else to blame our mild mishaps on – at least until the end of April.

All joking aside, this is going to be a pretty interesting week because there is very little astrological activity.  We have lunar days straight until Saturday when Mercury and Venus get a little action.

In the chart for the week, Venus remains our ruler and she begins her trek through earthy Capricorn.   Overall our focus will be on taking care of our duties and responsibilities and getting over the holiday season.  Just try, as best as you can, to ignore all the Valentine’s Day and Easter goodies that are already overflowing the store shelves.

Now, on with the forecast…

January 24, 2016

Moon in Leo

After the full moon in early degrees of Leo that occurred yesterday, the Moon will begin to settle into the sign of the lion as we go throughout the day.  The Leo Moon lets you get in touch with your inner individuality and allows you to get to the roots of what makes you special and unique.  This is a great day to do inner work and tap into your potential.

The Moon makes several aspects – a square to Mars and trines to both Saturn and Uranus.  During the morning hours you could feel tension, irritability, and could possibly experience disputes with others.  It’s best to not act in a hasty knee-jerk manner and it might be best to avoid people that agitate you through early afternoon.  Things will become easier to manage as the Moon trines Saturn, which will help you manage the difficulties that may occur earlier in the day with more practicality and solution oriented strategies.  Finally, during the evening, the Moon trine Uranus will help provide you with insight that could ultimately bring needed change into your life.

Mercury retrograde spellboxJanuary 25, 2016

Mercury Direct in Capricorn

Mercury turns direct during the afternoon hours, which could bring things to a standstill.  This is common when Mercury stations, so try not to become too frustrated because communication is about to become normal once again.

Over the next few days, communication problems that may have occurred during the retrograde will begin to clear up and you can begin to make plans, finalize business deals, and sign documents once again.  However, since Mercury is in earthy Capricorn, it is recommended to make decisions based upon concrete facts rather than speculation.  It’s also a great time to complete tasks that require concentration and discipline.

Mercury will remain in Capricorn until February 13th.

January 26, 2016

The Moon in Virgo

The Moon moves into Virgo and our energy will shift back to your day to day life.  This is one of my personal favorite lunar signs because it allows me to focus on what matters the most and I can put everything else to the side.  You can use this energy to reorganize, focus on health concerns, put some energy into job efficiency, or simply clean the house.  Further, if you have detailed tasks that need to be accomplished, the Moon in Virgo is a great time to get things done – especially with Mercury now direct.

The Moon forms a couple of interesting aspects on Tuesday – a lovely trine to Venus and an opposition to Neptune.  If you have social activities on the menu, the best time to do so would be during the morning hours.  Your mood should be rather pleasant and it’s a great time to negotiate with others.  However, things begin to go downhill during the afternoon hours when the Moon begins to oppose Neptune.  You may feel confused and disoriented or not on your ‘A-Game’, which could lead to misunderstandings with others.  Additionally, you may feel suspicious of those around you or at least confused by their motives.

 January 27, 2016

The Moon in Virgo

The Moon continues to move through practical Virgo and forms aspects to Saturn, Mercury, Pluto, and Jupiter.  So expect quick changes in energy and your mood throughout the day.

During the overnight hours, the Moon will square Saturn, which could bring forth feelings of insecurity and negative thoughts if you are burning the midnight oil.  However, the Moon will soon form a trine to both Mercury and Pluto which should improve your attitude and revive your personal power.  The good news is that during the day, the Moon will form a conjunction to Jupiter.  This will turn any lingering pessimistic attitude in a more optimistic direction and the rest of the day should prove to be more enjoyable.

January 28, 2016

The Moon in Libra

The Moon moves out of practical Virgo and moves into airy Libra during the morning hours.  Libra is about relationships – all of them – but with Libra’s ruler, Venus in worldly Capricorn, business relationships and partnerships will be highlighted.  This is a great day to do a bit of inventory on your business alliances and look at which ones are serving you and which ones are not.  It’s also a great time to reach out to others and make alliances that could be of use to you in the future.

On the emotional front, Thursday should prove to be rather positive as the Moon only aspects Venus during the evening hours. Social activities are recommended, but try to avoid indulging too much.

January 29, 2016

Moon in Libra

The Moon continues to move through social Libra and the daylight hours should prove to be rather positive as the Moon trines the Sun and sextiles Saturn.  You should feel rather confident with your abilities and it’s a great day to get projects completed.   However, during the evening things could become tense rather quickly.  The Moon forms difficult aspects to Mercury, Pluto, and Uranus.  Your feelings may be rather extreme and communication problems could easily occur.  Avoid confrontations with others or overreaching with difficulties that could possibly occur.  Staying in for the evening is recommended at this time.

January 30, 2016

Mercury conjunct Pluto
Venus sextile Neptune

Today is the first day of the week that we have planetary aspects as Mercury in Capricorn conjoins Pluto for the third time in the last month and a half.  This transit is all about the power of the mind and it’s great for work that requires investigation and research.  You may find yourself either obsessed or preoccupied with something you are focused on while this transit is active.  It’s also a great time to speak your mind because it’s easy to get people to understand your point of view or get them on your side.  Expect politics to really heat up over the weekend as the first votes for the Presidential nomination occur on Monday.

In other cosmic news, Venus in Capricorn forms a lovely aspect with Neptune in Pisces.  It’s a great day to enjoy art, visit a museum, or simply do something to stimulate your imagination.  On the relationship front you will find yourself more empathetic to the needs of your partner, which should create a rather enjoyable atmosphere throughout the day.  If your relationship has recently gone through any struggles, Venus sextile Neptune will help you reconnect.

See you next week…

Be amazing!

Astrological Life Coaching with Storm CestavaniYour Weekly Dose™ — Let the Good Times Roll

Brace yourself!  ‘Cause you are going to hit the f’ing floor.

Ready?  Are you braced?

After two weeks of rather difficult energies, this one is going to be pretty damn good.  Just sayin’

Last week the astrological energies were extremely dense and everyone was influenced by obstacles and frustrations.  This week the energy shifts and we are focused on our goals and what inspires them.  So, if you have tried and failed in the past, the energy of the week encourages you to try again and the cosmos is providing you with strength, determination, and inspiration.

Venus and Mars will prove to be our greatest planetary partners throughout the week.  Venus is located in the education oriented third house and you will be curious about subjects that expand your mindset.  This will make communications easier (important during Mercury retrograde) with others.  Mars is located in the 1st house in Scorpio and provides us with the pure grit and determination necessary to pursue anything you put your mind to.

The ease of the energy this week does not happen often.  Take advantage of it while it’s available.  In other words, don’t miss your moment!

Now, on with the forecast….

January 10, 2016

Mercury retrograde spellboxMoon in Capricorn

The week starts off with the Moon in productive Capricorn and it’s a great day to work on matters related to your big picture rather than your temporary concerns.  Taking a look at your long term goals are recommended because doing so now will likely increase your chances of success with Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, currently moving through fiery Sagittarius.

The Moon makes a couple of lovely aspects through the morning hours – a trine to Jupiter and a conjunction to Mercury.  Your mood should be rather optimistic and there will be an urge to help others at this time.  Be generous and reach out to those that need you.  Additionally, this is a great time to do research, study, and gather information that you can use at a later date.

During the afternoon hours, the Moon will move into social Aquarius.  This means that your friends will take center stage and it’s a great time to be social and network.  After all, Aquarius loves great ideas, enlightening conversations, and varying opinions.  However, later this evening the Moon will square fiery Mars and you could find yourself reacting emotionally to those around you.  Avoid situations where arguments could occur.

January 11, 2016

Moon in Aquarius

There are some great astrological features for Monday that are pretty exciting.  First of all, the Moon continues to move through social Aquarius.  It’s a great day to network with friends and associates or other likeminded individuals.  While this energy is active, it’s easier to get your point of view heard and receive assistance from others.  Secondly, the Moon makes only positive aspects throughout the day – sextiles to Saturn, Venus, and Uranus.  So, business and relationships are favored throughout the day and the sextile to Uranus encourages us to do something exciting and outside our comfort zone.  Take advantage of this easy flow of energy, it should prove to be rewarding for you as long as you take advantage of the opportunities.

January 12, 2016

Venus in Sagittarius trine Uranus in Aries

The Moon will be void of course in Aquarius through most of the day.  Avoid making firm decisions or signing documentation at this time – especially with Mercury being retrograde.  Later, the Moon will move into emotionally sensitive Pisces, which will mellow things out during the evening hours.

There is one major planetary aspect that occurs on Tuesday – transiting Venus in Sagittarius will trine Uranus in Aries.  The combination of these two planets always encourages you to put the humdrum and ordinary aspects of life on a shelf and do something exciting.  It urges you to change things up a bit; especially in relationships.  If you are currently in a relationship, do something different than your predictable routine, like going to a new movie or trying out a new restaurant.  If you are single, try going to a new place to meet others.  The main thing is that Venus trine Uranus needs stimulation, so yes, even THAT is on the menu.

January 13, 2016 – January, 2016

Sun in Capricorn trine Jupiter in Virgo
Sun in Capricorn conjunct Mercury in Capricorn
Mercury in Capricorn trine Jupiter in Virgo

I normally don’t put two days together, but it just seemed right to do so in light of the aspects.  If you are in business or have tons of projects you are working on, then take advantage of this energy while it’s available because it’s one of the best setups of the year.

The Sun trine Jupiter is one of the most positive aspect combinations you can have.  Your outlook on life is extremely positive and you should be able to accomplish anything you put your mind to.  You will be able to understand the patterns in your life and make things a great success.  The conjunction between the Sun and Mercury allows you to communicate effectively with others.

On Thursday, Mercury forms its own trine with Jupiter.  Since Mercury rules commerce, all business activities are favored – especially activities concerning planning and strategy.  However, be mindful of Mercury’s retrograde status and take action after Mercury goes direct on January 25th.

On the more personal level, communication with others should be positive and effective.  It’s a great day to spend time with friends and associates for conversations and networking activities.  Additionally, if you are considering returning to school, now would be a great time to put those plans in motions.

January 15, 2016

Moon in Aries

It’s going to be a lunar day with the Moon spending its first full day in energetic Aries.  It’s time to take control of your life and go after your goals.  This energy is great if you need to overcome challenged or obstacles that you feel are limiting your growth.  The only drawback is that the Moon in Aries can be very self-focused and tends to forget that our actions do effect everyone else around us.   We need to try to take them into consideration at this time.

The Moon makes one major aspect – a lovely trine to Saturn in Sagittarius.  This combination gives us gumption and the ability to overcome adversity.  You will feel mentally strong and able to handle any tough situation.  Today will be a great day to resolve situations that may have limited you in the past.

January 16, 2016

Moon in Aries

The Moon will continue its monthly trek through Aries throughout the day.  But, the energies are going to be mixed because of squares to Mercury and the Sun.  Although the energies are a bit conflicting, the Moon square Mercury needs to discuss its feelings and you may need to get any difficult emotions out in the open – especially in relationships.  It’s encouraged not to hold your feelings in because they could easily become toxic.  However, the trine to Venus should lighten things up a little and allow agreements and compromise to occur.

See you next week…

Be amazing!
