Mercury retrograde has a reputation problem.
Every few months, the internet throws on a dramatic robe, lights a candle it probably should not leave unattended, and announces that Mercury retrograde is coming to ruin our phones, travel plans, relationships, and last remaining shred of patience. Suddenly, every typo becomes an omen. Every delayed package feels personal. Every ex with poor timing and worse emotional hygiene becomes “a sign,” which is usually code for “I am about to make a decision my therapist would gently describe as familiar.”
