The astrology forecast for the week of December 27, 2021 – January 2, 2022 features 4 major aspects (Mercury conjunct Venus Rx), Mars sextile Saturn, Mercury conjunct Pluto, and Sun trine Uranus), two sign changes (Mercury in Aquarius and Jupiter in Pisces), and the New Moon in Capricorn.

Like the first week of the year, the last week of 2021 is filled with action. Cosmic Overview

The headliner this week is Jupiter, who is finally moving out of Aquarius and back into his own sign of Pisces.

But, what’s the big deal about the big guy in the sky?

Jupiter is how we develop meaning in life. He is optimistic, benevolent, and expansive. He uplifts anything in the chart he touches, and is the Santa Claus figure of the cosmos. Since Jupiter rules Pisces, the sign he moves into on December 28, he has an added boost of planetary power and can help troubling matters. Essentially, Jupiter is our “Lucky Star.”

Jupiter in Pisces renews our faith through our belief in other human beings. I know that this is difficult to understand with so much division and strife in our world, especially since Jupiter’s benevolence has been reduced, being in the same sign as Saturn for two years. However, once Jupiter enters Pisces, he is free from Saturn’s influence, and our love and empathy for others should begin to return. Since Pisces is a malleable sign, we may begin to see people more receptive to the plight of others, and we can hope that selfishness is put aside for the greater good. More importantly, we will all be a little more compassionate in our dealings with others.

The first New Moon of the Year happens on January 2^nd in Capricorn. This is the most powerful point of Capricorn season, and it’s an auspicious time to start the year on a solid footing, especially since Capricorn season is goal-oriented and can give you an extra boost.

This New Moon is excellent for finding a new job, getting a promotion or raise, starting a business, or doing maintenance magic or intention work on an existing business. Capricorn season is also excellent for reputation building and repair. And, of course, since Capricorn is an earth sign, focusing on your finances never hurt anyone.

Besides Jupiter moving into Pisces (see above), the Moon continues her trip through Libra and forms tense aspects to Mercury, Venus Rx, and Pluto. Stay on your toes, because conflict could easily erupt, especially if grievances have been brewing beneath the surface. Remain as proactive as possible, and don’t react to anything you may potentially regret later.

Wednesday brings us two major aspects – Mercury conjunct Venus Rx and Mars sextile Saturn.

During the early morning hours, Mercury conjoins Venus Rx in Capricorn. If you’ve experienced troubles in your relationships because of Venus Rx, Mercury conjoining the love goddess will help you understand your relationship on a deeper level. It’s also a good time to open the lines of communication and get your feelings out in the open in a constructive way.

Later in the day, Mars sextiles Saturn in Aquarius. Mars sextile Saturn augurs a time to plan and strategize your next step. It’s great for career ambitions, and you should use this energy to go after what you want, especially if it’s something you would love to do. The only drawback to this aspect is the need to be patient and take things one step at a time. The slower you go, the better your results will be.

During the early morning hours, Mercury moves into Aquarius, the sign he will turn retrograde in on January 14^th. Mercury in Aquarius helps us put the puzzles and pieces of life together, as we understand that life is a tapestry of one experience leading to another. We are given the gift of understanding patterns both personally and universally. While Mercury is in Aquarius, it’s much easier to get to the truth and use it to your advantage.

Later in the day, we have the New Moon in Capricorn. So, get your New Moon intentions in order, and use the energy of the New Moon to make things happen.

The astrology forecast for the week of December 20, 2021 thru December 26, 2021 features four major aspects (Mercury trine Uranus, Saturn square Uranus, Venus Rx conjunct Pluto, and Mercury sextile Neptune) and the beginning of Capricorn season.

Since a lot is going on, let’s get on with the show.

Cosmic Overview

The cosmic overview’s focus is something we have covered for the past year – Saturn square Uranus.

This week we have the final showdown between Saturn and Uranus. But keep in mind that planetary aspects have orbs, and Saturn square Uranus will continue to be active throughout 2022. However, they will never reach an exact aspect again until 2032, when they will conjoin in late Gemini.

In astrology, Saturn symbolizes the structures in our lives, whether that be the government, our careers, or our station in life. Saturn seeks stability, so he likes to hold onto things and doesn’t like change. On the other hand, Uranus likes progress, is rebellious, and likes to shake up the system. He finds the ‘establishment’ boring and, at its worst, corrupt. Since this aspect is a square, there is enormous tension between these two planets. If you lean towards the Saturn side of the square, change can be seen as suspect, disruptive, and chaotic. If you lean towards Uranus, you will see structure as limiting, restrictive, and only concerned with the selfish need to hold onto power and authority.

So, this gives you a whiff of the reason why the political landscape is currently so toxic!

Working with this aspect is not easy. It’s tough work, and it requires a lot of reflection and honesty. So naturally, based on our personal charts, we will gravitate to one side of the aspect or the other. However, the way to work with Saturn square Uranus proactively is to look at the areas of your life that need change and devise a plan to enact those changes in a way that you feel comfortable. A quick way to look at what needs to change is to look at the houses Saturn and Uranus are transiting in your chart. Here is a cheat sheet that will help you with the keywords.

Just remember, the more you work with the planets, the easier they are to manage. It’s when you deny giving them attention and pretend they do not exist; they become troublesome.

Your emotions may be intense, and you may need to manage them cautiously. Moreover, ignoring relationship problems out of fear of change could lead to further complications. The astrology forecast for the week of December 13, 2021 through December 19, 2021 features two sign changes (Mars and Mercury), a Full Moon in Gemini, Venus turning retrograde in Capricorn, and an extremely positive aspect between the Sun and Jupiter.

We have a lot to cover, so let’s dive right in!

Cosmic Overview

The cosmic event of the week is Venus turning retrograde in Capricorn on Sunday. Relationships are under the gun, and Venus continues to move backwards throughout the month of January (or at least until January 29^th). Further, Venus remains copresent with Pluto, which adds to the intensity of this Venus cycle. So, to help you stay on track, I’ve included a checklist – and who doesn’t like a checklist?

7 Point Checklist for Venus Retrograde

Review Relationships – During Venus retrograde, our major relationships are under review. It’s time to do a little emotional inventory and decide the current status of your relationships and whether changes need to be made.
Boundaries – Over time, relationships can get out of control. We can let things slide by thinking that they are ‘one time’ events and before you know it, they are part of the relationship dynamic. Sometimes you need boundaries! In my experience as a coach, people are often afraid of boundaries because they fear losing the relationship. But I’ve got a newsflash – if someone exits a relationship because of boundaries, then the relationship had a faulty foundation. Boundaries are tools to use to prevent problems from flaring up. They are about preservation, not dissolution.
Balance – Are you putting more effort into your relationship than your partner? If so, you need to find some balance. Nobody wants to be taken advantage of, disrespected, or taken for granted. Relationships that suffer from balance problems usually end up with a partner becoming resentful, and there is nothing more toxic to a relationship than resentment.
Unrealistic Expectations: Expectations can be a major problem in relationships, because they can lead to buyers’ remorse. Often people believe a relationship is headed somewhere when it is not. So, if you are looking for structure, foundation, long-term commitment, and eventually getting married, and your partner isn’t interested in taking on that type of relationship, problems will occur. Use Venus retrograde to find out if you are aligned with your partner, and if not, it might be time to SWIPE RIGHT.
Fantasy or Reality: This is a close cousin to expectations, except it can include a ton of other (some dark) things. Let me cut to the chase – if you think your partner will magically change one day and want the same things that you do, then Venus retrograde may be troubling. Or if you believe your male friend of five years will one day wake up and realize he wants you, then Venus Rx could be an eye-opening experience revealed in March, likely with some unsettling news. It’s time to view relationships honestly, and accept them for what they are, not what you want them to be.
The Young and the Ex’s: All retrogrades mean it’s time to review the past, and Venus is no exception. Often former relationship partners resurface, especially if there was a lack of closure. Sometimes our old feelings may lead us to question whether there is a future? However, in most cases, former relationships that resurface have a purpose: to show you how much you have grown. Remember, there is a reason your ex is an ex, and it’s often best to pass them by and leave them in the rear-view mirror.
Money, Money, Money – In addition to love, Venus rules money. While Venus is retrograde, it’s the perfect time to put your finances into perspective. Even if you are doing well, it never hurts to balance your checkbook, renegotiate your interest rates, and create a plan to reduce your debt. One thing to avoid during Venus retrograde is making investments.

The astrology forecast for Week of December 6, 2021 through December 12, 2021 features 6 planetary aspects (Mars sextile Pluto, Mercury square Neptune, Mars square Jupiter, Venus conjunct Pluto, Mercury sextile Jupiter, and the Sun square Neptune.) So, it’s going to be a busy week with a lot of conflicting energy. When we have this amount of energy, I recommend getting plenty of rest, eat healthy foods, move your body, and hydrate.

Cosmic Overview

The aspect of the week is Venus conjunct Pluto, which occurs on Saturday. Venus conjunct Pluto is significant because she doesn’t pass on by and the energies diminish in a few days, like she normally would. Instead, Venus remains in close orb to Pluto for an entire month because she is moving slowly, and she is about to turn retrograde on December 19^th.

Venus conjunct Pluto is an intense aspect, and for relationships with a faulty foundation, it can be troubling. Often the aspect presents as difficulty accepting relationships as they are, and you may try to force a relationship to become what you would like it to be. Sometimes, your partner may not have the ability, tenacity, or desire to meet your needs, and this can be difficult to acknowledge or accept.

Another way this aspect expresses itself is through insecurities. Insecurities may lead to dark feelings, such as jealousy and bitterness. However, you need to avoid manipulation tactics, because they may blow up in your face and worsen matters.

The best way to deal with Venus conjunct Pluto is to accept things as they are. This may mean accepting that a relationship has ended, and you need to move on, or you may need to accept that a relationship is ending, and that guilt, coercion, or obsession will not fix it. Instead, you may need to simply feel your emotions and grieve.

This can be tough, but sometimes when something is over, it’s just over.

This could be experimenting with a new exercise program, using alternative forms of meditation, or simply ordering a different drink from your favorite coffee shop. Trying new things will keep your life fresh and your soul invigorated.

Later this evening, the Moon conjoins Neptune, and this is excellent for spiritual work, music, or just a bit of relaxation. Pay close attention to your dreams, they may be trying to tell you something.

You will understand your life with more perspective, and this will help you sort through your options. Mercury sextile Jupiter is also favorable for business, especially if it involves signing contracts or negotiations.

Finally, the week closes with a bewildering aspect between the Sun and Neptune. Sun square Neptune is a low energy aspect that is confusing and comes with a side dish of brain fog. December 2021 Astro Magic Overview

The good news about December is that at least it’s not November, which was the most troubling month of the year. However, December has its own challenges – a solar eclipse in Sagittarius, the final showdown between Saturn and Uranus, and Venus retrograde in Capricorn. But December also has one ray of light that should not be ignored, as Jupiter (the Great Benefic) leaves the sign of Aquarius and moves into Pisces. So, help is on the way.

But first, let’s talk about Sagittarius season…

Out of the Phoenix’s ashes, the archer rises and points his arrow into the eternal heavens. It’s a drastic shift in energies from the discomfort we faced during Scorpio season. Scorpio season is about facing our fears, phobias, and working on our dysfunctions (and yes, we all have them); whereas Sagittarius season is about looking to the future — onward and upward.

In mythology, Jupiter, the King of the gods, rules the heavens, and likewise, he is the ruler of Sagittarius. Jupiter was a benevolent deity, but he had a little zipper problem. He couldn’t seem to keep it up! His Greek counterpart, Zeus, was always at odds with his wife Hera because of his numerous affairs and the many children from his illicit unions. Now, we can easily get caught up in the stories of a male deity constantly cheating on his wife, but stories (as repulsive as some may be), in many ways, describe archetypal energies through imagery and artistic prose. However, Zeus’ illicit affairs and conquests are not necessarily about male dominance and womanizing; they reveal this fiery god’s need to fertilize the sea of possibilities. The focus is on tomorrow’s potential and what can be created, not the real world of today, which is a feature found in all the fire signs.

Likewise, Hera (Zeus’s wife) is not merely an insecure, desperate housewife who enacts her revenge on her husband, his mistresses, and his illegitimate progeny. Instead, Hera reflects the real world of obligations, responsibilities, contracts/agreements, and the stabilizing effect of the element of earth. After all, Sagittarius needs grounding in a real-world so it can give birth to creative visions.

During Sagittarius season, we need to leave the past behind and focus on the future. Astrology Forecast for the Week of November 29,2021 – December 5, 2021

After a week of a cosmic slowdown, the heavenly machine churns up again. This week have four major aspects (Mars trine Neptune, Mercury sextile Saturn, Venus sextile Neptune, and Sun sextile Saturn), and a solar eclipse in Sagittarius.

Cosmic Overview:

First, all the major aspects this week are relatively light. The only thing that is peculiar is that they involve two planets that really don’t like each other – Saturn and Neptune. Saturn is interested in the physical world, which is what you can observe, do, and accomplish. He requires effort and determination. Neptune is interested in the ‘other world’, meaning everything beyond the physical. In Neptune’s world, there is no concept of time, reality, or rules; everything is fluid. So, there will be a tug of war between the need to take care of duties and responsibilities, and the need to escape worldly burdens. It’s going to be necessary to navigate both worlds. My suggestion is to take care of what has to be done and spend plenty of time engaging in activities that feed your soul.

Secondly, we have a solar eclipse in Sagittarius early Saturday morning. This eclipse is the conclusion of the eclipse series that began in 2020. Sagittarius is the sign that represents big picture perspectives, philosophy, and beliefs. However, we have a curious happening in the cosmos, because the eclipse is square the centaur Nessus.

In mythology, Nessus is a member of the rowdy Centaur clan. He was the ferryman at the Euenos river. Hercules arrives at the river and pays for his wife Deinara to ride to the other side. Upon reaching her destination, Nessus attempts to rape Deinara, and Hercules shoots him with an arrow tainted by the deadly Hydra’s poisonous blood. As he is dying, Nessus gives a vial of his blood to Deinara and tells her that it will keep Hercules faithful.

Of course, since this is a myth, you know what will happen. After a while, Deinara fears Hercules is being unfaithful, so she pours Nessus’ poisoned blood on her husband’s tunic. Hercules wears the tunic and dies. After his death, Zeus brings Hercules to Mount Olympus where he is honored for his heroic activities.

Since Sagittarius is about higher learning, knowledge, and philosophy (not to mention its image of the Centaur), I felt that including Nessus was necessary. In the horoscope, Nessus reflects poisoning, and since he is currently moving through Pisces, it’s collective poisoning that we are concerned with. Over the last few years, we have noticed how dangerous misinformation is and what it can do to the global community. If you are on a social media platform or visit news sites, you are exposed to it on the daily. In many ways, we are ‘poisoned’ by collective movements, many of people involved are true believers in what they are posting, but propaganda can be deadly and can poison ordinary (and even some unordinary) people and their outlook on life. I am hopeful that with this aspect being a separating square, much of this will begin to fade away, because we are encouraged to leave ‘group think’ (which can be equally poisonous) behind and focus on our big picture objectives. We need to take our ‘personal beliefs’ and take charge of our ‘personal worlds’, and start living our best lives, and leave the noise to others who wish to participate. Instead of being poisoned by the beliefs or statements of others, we need to be the cure.
