The aspect of the week is Venus conjunct Pluto, which occurs on Saturday. Venus conjunct Pluto is significant because she doesn’t pass on by and the energies diminish in a few days, like she normally would. Instead, Venus remains in close orb to Pluto for an entire month because she is moving slowly, and she is about to turn retrograde on December 19^th.

Venus conjunct Pluto is an intense aspect, and for relationships with a faulty foundation, it can be troubling. Often the aspect presents as difficulty accepting relationships as they are, and you may try to force a relationship to become what you would like it to be. Sometimes, your partner may not have the ability, tenacity, or desire to meet your needs, and this can be difficult to acknowledge or accept.

Another way this aspect expresses itself is through insecurities. Insecurities may lead to dark feelings, such as jealousy and bitterness. However, you need to avoid manipulation tactics, because they may blow up in your face and worsen matters.

The best way to deal with Venus conjunct Pluto is to accept things as they are. This may mean accepting that a relationship has ended, and you need to move on, or you may need to accept that a relationship is ending, and that guilt, coercion, or obsession will not fix it. Instead, you may need to simply feel your emotions and grieve.

This can be tough, but sometimes when something is over, it’s just over.

The Moon continues its trip through Pisces and forms a beneficial aspect to Uranus. The Moon sextile Uranus tells us to shake up the morning routine by doing something different. This could be experimenting with a new exercise program, using alternative forms of meditation, or simply ordering a different drink from your favorite coffee shop. Trying new things will keep your life fresh and your soul invigorated.

Later this evening, the Moon conjoins Neptune, and this is excellent for spiritual work, music, or just a bit of relaxation. Pay close attention to your dreams, they may be trying to tell you something.

Besides Venus conjoining Pluto (see above), we have a lovely aspect between Mercury in Sagittarius and Jupiter in Aquarius. Like the energy at the beginning of the week, Mercury sextile Jupiter is about looking at the big picture and putting together a plan to achieve your hopes and wishes. You will understand your life with more perspective, and this will help you sort through your options. Mercury sextile Jupiter is also favorable for business, especially if it involves signing contracts or negotiations.

Finally, the week closes with a bewildering aspect between the Sun and Neptune. Sun square Neptune is a low energy aspect that is confusing and comes with a side dish of brain fog. Avoid working on projects that need focus and determination because the gas tank is empty. Instead, do what needs to be done, and leave the rest for another day.

December 2021 Astro Magic Overview

The good news about December is that at least it’s not November, which was the most troubling month of the year. However, December has its own challenges – a solar eclipse in Sagittarius, the final showdown between Saturn and Uranus, and Venus retrograde in Capricorn. But December also has one ray of light that should not be ignored, as Jupiter (the Great Benefic) leaves the sign of Aquarius and moves into Pisces. So, help is on the way.

But first, let’s talk about Sagittarius season…

Out of the Phoenix’s ashes, the archer rises and points his arrow into the eternal heavens. It’s a drastic shift in energies from the discomfort we faced during Scorpio season. Scorpio season is about facing our fears, phobias, and working on our dysfunctions (and yes, we all have them); whereas Sagittarius season is about looking to the future — onward and upward.

In mythology, Jupiter, the King of the gods, rules the heavens, and likewise, he is the ruler of Sagittarius. Jupiter was a benevolent deity, but he had a little zipper problem. He couldn’t seem to keep it up! His Greek counterpart, Zeus, was always at odds with his wife Hera because of his numerous affairs and the many children from his illicit unions. Now, we can easily get caught up in the stories of a male deity constantly cheating on his wife, but stories (as repulsive as some may be), in many ways, describe archetypal energies through imagery and artistic prose. However, Zeus’ illicit affairs and conquests are not necessarily about male dominance and womanizing; they reveal this fiery god’s need to fertilize the sea of possibilities. The focus is on tomorrow’s potential and what can be created, not the real world of today, which is a feature found in all the fire signs.

Likewise, Hera (Zeus’s wife) is not merely an insecure, desperate housewife who enacts her revenge on her husband, his mistresses, and his illegitimate progeny. Instead, Hera reflects the real world of obligations, responsibilities, contracts/agreements, and the stabilizing effect of the element of earth. After all, Sagittarius needs grounding in a real-world so it can give birth to creative visions.

During Sagittarius season, we need to leave the past behind and focus on the future. Astrology Forecast for the Week of November 29,2021 – December 5, 2021

After a week of a cosmic slowdown, the heavenly machine churns up again. This week have four major aspects (Mars trine Neptune, Mercury sextile Saturn, Venus sextile Neptune, and Sun sextile Saturn), and a solar eclipse in Sagittarius.

Cosmic Overview:

First, all the major aspects this week are relatively light. The only thing that is peculiar is that they involve two planets that really don’t like each other – Saturn and Neptune. Saturn is interested in the physical world, which is what you can observe, do, and accomplish. He requires effort and determination. Neptune is interested in the ‘other world’, meaning everything beyond the physical. In Neptune’s world, there is no concept of time, reality, or rules; everything is fluid. So, there will be a tug of war between the need to take care of duties and responsibilities, and the need to escape worldly burdens. It’s going to be necessary to navigate both worlds. My suggestion is to take care of what has to be done and spend plenty of time engaging in activities that feed your soul.

Secondly, we have a solar eclipse in Sagittarius early Saturday morning. This eclipse is the conclusion of the eclipse series that began in 2020. Sagittarius is the sign that represents big picture perspectives, philosophy, and beliefs. However, we have a curious happening in the cosmos, because the eclipse is square the centaur Nessus.

In mythology, Nessus is a member of the rowdy Centaur clan. He was the ferryman at the Euenos river. Hercules arrives at the river and pays for his wife Deinara to ride to the other side. Upon reaching her destination, Nessus attempts to rape Deinara, and Hercules shoots him with an arrow tainted by the deadly Hydra’s poisonous blood. As he is dying, Nessus gives a vial of his blood to Deinara and tells her that it will keep Hercules faithful.

Of course, since this is a myth, you know what will happen. After a while, Deinara fears Hercules is being unfaithful, so she pours Nessus’ poisoned blood on her husband’s tunic. Hercules wears the tunic and dies. After his death, Zeus brings Hercules to Mount Olympus where he is honored for his heroic activities.

Since Sagittarius is about higher learning, knowledge, and philosophy (not to mention its image of the Centaur), I felt that including Nessus was necessary. In the horoscope, Nessus reflects poisoning, and since he is currently moving through Pisces, it’s collective poisoning that we are concerned with. Over the last few years, we have noticed how dangerous misinformation is and what it can do to the global community. If you are on a social media platform or visit news sites, you are exposed to it on the daily. In many ways, we are ‘poisoned’ by collective movements, many of people involved are true believers in what they are posting, but propaganda can be deadly and can poison ordinary (and even some unordinary) people and their outlook on life. I am hopeful that with this aspect being a separating square, much of this will begin to fade away, because we are encouraged to leave ‘group think’ (which can be equally poisonous) behind and focus on our big picture objectives. We need to take our ‘personal beliefs’ and take charge of our ‘personal worlds’, and start living our best lives, and leave the noise to others who wish to participate. Instead of being poisoned by the beliefs or statements of others, we need to be the cure.

Cosmic Overview

We are now fully in Sagittarius season, and after the fireworks of Scorpio season, the energy of the centaur archer is welcomed. The sign of Sagittarius is about potential, possibilities, and faith in a better life. It’s not a sudden Christmas miracle that fills people with good tidings, generosity, and wonderment. It’s just the season – Sagittarius, that is.

This Sagittarius season features Jupiter making his last stand in Aquarius before he slips out of the dark Lord Saturn’s grasp. Jupiter is the planet of expansion, luck, and optimism, and it is easy to see that his blessings have been curtailed over the past two years while dancing with Saturn in Capricorn and Aquarius. However, despite Jupiter’s position, Sagittarius season encourages us to perceive life’s potentials, and it’s an excellent time to create your goals and resolutions for 2022. This lunar eclipse is sandwiched between the fixed stars Caput Algol (off with your head) and Alcyone (something to cry about), so it is intense, especially as Venus rules the eclipse and is in Capricorn. Eclipse energy is highly potent. If you know your chart, look at the house with Taurus on the cusp, and this will reveal the areas of life that will be influenced.

The sign of Taurus has to do with resources, money, and values. These are subjects are often activated with an eclipse in the sign of the bull. Since astrology is an instructive language, this eclipse tells us that we need to look at how we manage our financial matters, how we obtain goods, and what is important to us. I have long believed that our checkbooks reveal where our true values lie, because it is a ledger of what we purchase and where we spend our funds.

Since this eclipse is conjoined two negative fixed stars, we can expect financial woes to be headline news and potentially further problems with the supply chain. We can also expect political infighting related to money to become increasingly tense.

Cosmic Overview:

Last week, I said that in mid-November, the ‘bowels of hell’ are going to open – and surprise, this is the week it begins.

On Wednesday, we have three major aspects that all come together during the day. Mercury, the planet of communication, forms a conjunction with powerful and impulsive Mars during the morning hours, and then the trickster god squares Saturn. Later in the day, Mars in full battle armor takes on Saturn himself, and the likely result will be increased tensions and frustrations over the next few days.

I’m not going to sugarcoat this; this series of aspects is rough business, and you need to stay on guard and try not to react as much as possible. Instead, you need to try to use your wise mind before making decisions. Of course, I will break the aspects down completely in the daily breakdown.

Anytime we go through rough cosmic energies, you need to take care of yourself, stay hydrated, and get plenty of rest. If you have a spiritual practice, I recommend meditation and taking breaks to reconnect with your higher source.
