The Secret of Storm Cestavani’s Sun Candle

In February (yes it was 3 years ago) 2010, I developed a line of candles with Jacki Smith from Coventry Creations. We decided to call the line “Storm Cestavani’s Tarot Magic!” — an ambitious attempt to weave practical candle magic in with the Tarot Cards. Guess what? It worked! The candles have brought forth lasting change and well-being to my clients, and radio show listeners. Needless to say, the line has been very successful and I am pleased with the results.

I am very inquisitive with my products, so I decided to do a little “tarot testing”. What does my Sun candle really do? Since, I love Robert Place’s Alchemical Tarot, I decided to use a simple 3 card spread. I asked the question, “What can the tarot reveal about my Sun candle?”

Radical Acceptance and The Sign of Aquarius

Every new year things change. We begin to look at things in new ways and we begin to view things through the lens of possibility and potential. The sign of Capricorn urges us to become more structured and disciplined and as a result you see businesses form their New Year Agenda. This is no different at Coventry where we plan to be more thematically based in 2013 then we have been in the past.

I will admit that working with astrology in a thematic sort of way has been challenging and rewarding at the same time. I have learned much over the past year about the signs and the planets and how to make use of them in a transformational way to help achieve what is that we desire out of life and to be able to seize on every moment that is available to us.

The month of February is associated with the sign of Aquarius and the theme for the month is “getting to the hard truth.” Although the “truth” is something that is innately evident within the sign of Aquarius, it is necessary for us to get to the crux of this word in order to apply it in a practical way that can improve our businesses and our lives.

Storm Cestavani — Metaphysics Then and Now

I was recently interviewed with the talented people at the Psychic Advisor Network. Of course, all interviews have a nostalgic quality about them, and this one was no different. However, this interview really got me to contemplate the psychic industry back when I started in 1987 and the industry now in late 2012.

Now, some of the changes are absolutely obvious. In 1987, the entire concept of the internet was non-existent. I mean, who could have imagined that 1/6^th of the world’s population would have a Facebook account and cellular telephones were in their infancy during the late 90’s. Psychic readings, at the time, were usually done in person and the entire concept of getting a reading via the telephone was a rather alien concept. Further the amount of resources available on subjects such as tarot, astrology, numerology, channeling, or developing your psychic abilities were very limited. You could only special order these products from large bookstores unless you happened to live in a very large metropolitan city that had metaphysical specialty stores.

In the second decade of the 21^st century, it has all changed! One can order specialty metaphysical products at bookstores online or at Amazon. You can now order classes and participate in large metaphysical events simply by using the telephone or a webcam. The idea of getting a psychic reading via the phone is simply the name of the game and has expanded into readings via email, Skype, and online chat programs. The metaphysical world has expanded to the point that anyone who has interest in spirituality can now receive information in the blink of an eye either on their computer or their smart phone.

I decided to ask the tarot (I used the Mythic Tarot) a few questions to see where it thinks the industry has changed in the last 25 years.

In personal astrology, the sign of Scorpio is the substance that epic stories are made of. Monsters, dark gods, and heroic quests populate Scorpios volatile and often terrifying landscape. The sign of the scorpion is associated with transformation and regeneration and in most cases before we are able to see the light, we must first do battle with darkness.

In business, we do not face the pitch dark battles that lurk through the human unconscious – after all it is pretty much impossible to send a business in for psychotherapy. However, we still can work with the Scorpionic powers of transmutation while we are under the auspice of the sign.
