Astrology Forecast and Horoscopes for the Week of May 24, 2021 – May 30, 2021

This week’s astrology forecast packs a massive wallop, so get ready; it’s going to be a rollercoaster of a ride that begins on Wednesday and continues through the rest of the week.

Astro Hot Spots

We have three hot spots to focus on this week.  I will give the Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius its own post so watch for that to drop early in the week.  But we also have Venus forming a tense square to Neptune and Mercury retrograde in Gemini on Saturday.

Venus in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces:

Venus-Neptune contacts are complicated.  Moreover, the squares and the oppositions are challenging to deal with and can be emotionally troubling if they strongly impact your chart.  Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces take extra care this week because your charts will likely be triggered.

Venus square Neptune is about idealization. We all have a particular vision of how we expect relationships to work based on where Venus is in our birth charts. Venus-Neptune is a time when we are invested in our romantic dreams, and we may have a higher level of expectation because we seek fulfillment through our partners. We expect a lot out of those we care about, and ultimately, we become disappointed when our partners do not live up to the ‘perfect ideal.’  Since this aspect will influence all of us this week, our unrealistic expectations in relationships will become evident.

If you experience problems in your relationships, you may need to look at whether your expectations are too high.  Did you quit allowing your partners to be human and instead are looking for them to fix you, or are you seeking something from them that you should be seeking within yourself? If you have, you may need to accept your partners for who they are rather than what you would like them to be. Otherwise, this aspect can be tricky and can lead to hurt feelings and possible breakups. Contrarily, you may be in a situation where someone expects more out of you than you can humanely deliver. This tension can lead to frustration and feelings of inadequacy.  Relationships that end this week may be challenging to handle, so take extra care of yourself if this happens.

Mercury Rx in Gemini:

Finally, on Saturday, Mercury turns retrograde in his sign of Gemini.  Gemini is the sign that governs communication, business transactions, trade, and travel. You can expect typical issues that occur during Mercury retrograde to be amplified.

1. Make sure you go over anything contractual thoroughly. Make sure all the i’s are dotted and all the t’s are crossed. If you can get away with it, wait until after the retrograde is over (June 22) to sign on the dotted line.
2. Avoid starting anything new. New projects tend to have communication problems and mishaps when initiated during this process.
3. Put a watch on your tongue. (If it is not worth saying, don’t say it)
4. Check your vehicles for any potential problems. Before Mercury goes retrograde is the best time for a service call.
5. Avoid buying real estate or renting apartments. Usually, this means you are just going to move again during a future Mercury Rx.
6. Using mail delivery services that offer tracking and insurance – especially now since the Post Office has still not recovered from the pandemic.
7. Check, recheck, and check again any travel plans you have or appointments that are on the books.
8. If you do travel, don’t take anything of importance or value. Only bring items that you do not care if they are lost or stolen.
9. Expect people from the past to resurface. However, once they do crawl out of whatever cavern they came from, proceed with caution.
10. Back up all electronic devices.
11. Avoid buying an automobile.

The good news is that we can use Mercury Rx as a powerful tool.  Since Mercury is moving backward, we are moving over familiar territory. We have been here before, and we can use this backward motion as a review process that gives us the ability to ‘redo’ (Mercury Rx loves words that start with ‘re’) choices and decisions we have already made. Also, the truth always surfaces during a Mercury Rx. Expect new information to emerge that may have led to a wrong decision in the past.

Aries:

This week begins with the Moon in Scorpio in your solar 8^th house. Unresolved issues from the past may resurface, leaving you feeling less confident than usual.  Communication issues with friends or siblings may occur midweek. Plans that you have made for the weekend may go awry with Mercury reversing course.  Check and recheck all plans, especially those that are travel-related.

Taurus:

Relationship issues may be a prominent feature at the beginning of the week with the turbulent Scorpio Moon moving through your solar 7^th house. Avoid financial investments that involve your friends midweek because they could lead to disappointment. Unresolved financial matters may resurface at the week’s end when Mercury turns retrograde.

Gemini:

Work-related activities may be complicated this week by people with a dubious agenda. Avoid overcommunicating with people you don’t trust because it could lead to negative consequences. At the week’s end, you may receive information that leads you to question your path. A course correction may be necessary, but get all the facts before you proceed.

Cancer:

Romantic encounters may be a significant feature at the beginning of the week, with the Moon moving through your passionate solar 5^th house. Towards the middle of the week, please pay close attention to your dreams because they may give you answers to problems that have been troubling you.  Be as clear and precise as possible in all communications this weekend because Mercury turns retrograde in your solar 12^th house, and you will be easily misunderstood.

Avoid developing a romantic interest with a friend or colleague this week because you may end up disappointed, or you could permanently damage your relationship. This weekend someone from the past may resurface when Mercury turns retrograde.

Virgo:

At the beginning of the week, you will have a strong urge to communicate and share ideas with your social circle with the Moon moving through your solar 3^rd house.  Towards the middle of the week, expect problems in your relationships if you are focused solely on your career. Speaking of your career, Mercury reverses direction in your solar 10^th house this weekend, leaving you uncertain about the future.

Libra:

Pay close attention to your spending at the beginning of the week. As the Moon moves through your solar 2^nd house and tangles with Saturn and Uranus, unexpected expenses are likely to occur.  In the middle of the week, day-to-day events may challenge your beliefs about life. Be open to alternative viewpoints.  This weekend, as Mercury turns retrograde in your solar 9^th house, travel plans may be upended.

Scorpio:

Relationships are going to be your primary focus throughout the week.  Disagreements may lead to feelings of insecurity about the future. Avoid holding on to grievances and allow your partners the space to resolve their issues.
