In personal astrology, the sign of Scorpio is the substance that epic stories are made of. Monsters, dark gods, and heroic quests populate Scorpios volatile and often terrifying landscape. The sign of the scorpion is associated with transformation and regeneration and in most cases before we are able to see the light, we must first do battle with darkness.
In business, we do not face the pitch dark battles that lurk through the human unconscious – after all it is pretty much impossible to send a business in for psychotherapy. However, we still can work with the Scorpionic powers of transmutation while we are under the auspice of the sign.
Since all the water signs reflect a need for emotional nurturing and healing, we can use this cycle to analyze the overall health of our business. If you need to refocus your business energies, now is the time to do it. If you need to make some staff changes and get rid of unproductivity, the month of November is a great time for you to make those changes. Further, it is a beneficial time to build employee relations and build their morale. Schedule a “work play day” where you focus on enjoyable (and possibly fun) ways to get your staff to work as a team. Remember, that the key word for this month is REGENERATE.
Planning Guide:
One of the most notable placements that occur this month is Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius. Of course, everyone groans when Mercury goes retrograde and I have written extensively on it in the past, and of course all the usual problems with communication, electronic devices, traveling plans, and the need to avoid signing any documents are still the name of the game while Mercury does his backward dance. However, this Mercury is rather unique and special.
Why? It occurs on election night!
The last time this occurred was during Election 2000, which is one of the most memorable elections in recent history. Vice President Al Gore won the election, but because of voting machine failures in the state of FL (Mercury), Governor George W. Bush was elected the President of the United States after many days of ambiguity over the results of the election. Since Sagittarius rules law and legal matters, we could see a reoccurrence if the election is close (which it most likely will be). It is very likely that either President Barack Obama or Governor Mitt Romney could win the popular vote, but not be the President of the United States. Further, we may see an extended election which could take several days for all the votes to be counted.
For business, November is a month where we need to avoid making concrete choices and decisions. In fact, the only aspect that Mercury will make in November is a square to illusionary Neptune which can cloud our thoughts and is not a great planning influence. This month you should do everything you can to enact the choices and decisions that you made in September and October and try to avoid reacting and making new decisions while Mercury is retrograde. Mercury will turn direct on November 26, 2012 which will help to relieve the stress and tension Mercury will cause.
Financial Guide:
Venus spends the majority of the month in her own sign of Libra. Although the 1st, 3rd, and the 26th will not be great financial days, the rest of the month will be rather favorable. While Venus is in Libra, our strategic partnerships will be of importance and we may need to reach out to others in order to achieve our goals. Favorable money days are the 8th, 22nd, 28th, and 29th. However, overall the holiday season should be decent.
Action Guide:
Although the first part of the month will be spent in anticipation of the holiday cycle, the rest of the month is energetic and favorable. On November 16th, Mars will move into the sign of its exaltation (one of the best signs for him to be in) which is Capricorn. We will begin to feel a bit more in control and the difficulties and the frustrations of the Mercury retrograde will be to subside. While Mars is in Capricorn it is necessary for us to take charge of our business and our destinies. However, avoid power struggles towards the end of the month as Mars conjoined with Pluto is rather toxic and volatile.
