It’s Valentine’s Day – you know, the day that lovers get together and validate the feelings they have in their relationship. It’s accompanied (often) with boxes of chocolate, flowers, and kisses that begin with “Kay” (as in the jeweler). Let’s face it, Valentine’s Day is one of the feel good days of the year and even some of the most somber individuals perk up to the magical elixirs of love.
The astrological aspects for Valentine’s Day are rather interesting. First, we have a Full Moon in the sign of Leo. Then, later in the evening, a lovely aspect between the life giving Sun and determined and energetic Mars. Under normal circumstances, this is a lovely set of aspects; however, on Valentine’s Day, we may need to tweak this energy to get the most out of it.
I am sure you wonder why such lovely aspects need modification. After all, trines are good aren’t they? Well, the difficulty with the aspects, have to do with their prime motivation rather than the aspect. These are not aspects of relationship, they are self-oriented aspects which may need to be worked with in order to achieve the lovely V-day results you desire.
So, how do we work with them?
After doing astrological and psychic readings for the past 25 years, I have realized that one of the biggest obstacles to living is complacency. Slowly, the challenges of living life erode our vision of the future, and we begin to settle with living life the way it is rather than living life the way it can be. For many (not all), life begins to lose its magic. This can eventually lead to depression and other health problems later in life. Since both of the aspects that occur on V-day are aspects of “self”, it is possibly time for us to begin to try to relight the magic that may have faded for our lives, and once again strive to be all we can be.
As you go through your day on Valentine’s Day, pay careful attention to areas of your life that are not completed. Do you have areas of your life where you want to accomplish things? Do you want to bring your career to the next level? Do you want to feel like you have lived a fulfilled life? Since Mars is involved in this aspect, he gives us the power and ability to create an action plan to accomplish our goals and ambitions. Through the process of ‘being all you can be’, you will be able to offer a special ingredient to your relationship – yourself.
